Chinese is tonal (the same syllable changes meaning with pitch) and counts nouns with measure words instead of plurals. Whisperr’s speech recognition covers the Chinese spoken across China, Taiwan, and Singapore.
English keeps a fixed subject-verb-object order and no grammatical gender, so it is often the structurally simpler side of a pair. Recognition likewise covers the English of North America, the United Kingdom, and far beyond.
The transcript shows each side in its own writing system: simplified or traditional Chinese characters for Chinese, the Latin alphabet for English. Chinese is a tonal language, where pitch changes a word’s meaning, so translation works on whole phrases rather than isolated words. Because Whisperr auto-detects which of the two languages is being spoken, Chinese to English conversations flow in both directions without switching anything by hand.
