How do I download Whisperr?
Whisperr is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android. Mac (Apple Silicon) and Windows have direct downloads from our GitHub releases, no App Store needed. There's also a web app with nothing to install, and a Chrome extension for capturing tab audio.
What languages does Whisperr support?
Whisperr transcribes and translates dozens of languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and reads translations aloud in 48 of them. The list grows over time — see the full supported-languages table for the current count.
Is my audio data secure?
Your privacy is our priority. Audio is streamed to Whisperr's speech engine over an encrypted (TLS) connection to produce the transcription and translation — it isn't processed on-device. On the Web App, the transcript is only saved to your account if you turn on Save to Cloud; on mobile, it's stored locally on your phone. Either way, you can delete it whenever you want — see our Security page for the full details.
Can I use Whisperr offline?
No. Whisperr needs a stable internet connection — transcription and translation run on Whisperr's cloud speech engine, not on your device, so there's no offline mode or downloadable language pack.
How accurate is the translation?
Whisperr uses advanced AI technology to provide highly accurate translations. Accuracy varies by language pair and audio quality, but we continuously improve our models.
Is there a free trial?
Whisperr has a free plan you can start using right away, no credit card required. Paid plans unlock features like the Meeting Bot — see Plans & Pricing in the app for current details.
