Vietnamese distinguishes six tones and attaches classifiers to most nouns. Whisperr’s speech recognition covers the Vietnamese spoken across Vietnam.
English keeps a fixed subject-verb-object order and no grammatical gender, so it is often the structurally simpler side of a pair. Recognition likewise covers the English of North America, the United Kingdom, and far beyond.
The transcript shows each side in its own writing system: the Latin alphabet with tone diacritics for Vietnamese, the Latin alphabet for English. Vietnamese is a tonal language, where pitch changes a word’s meaning, so translation works on whole phrases rather than isolated words. Because Whisperr auto-detects which of the two languages is being spoken, Vietnamese to English conversations flow in both directions without switching anything by hand.
