Live Translation for Weddings

When two families speak two languages, nobody should miss the vows. Whisperr broadcasts the ceremony and speeches as live translated captions to each guest’s own phone — and translates both sides of every conversation at the reception.

How to translate a wedding live

One setup covers the ceremony, the speeches, and the mingling.

  1. 1

    Broadcast the ceremony

Run Whisperr on a phone or laptop that hears the officiant — near the front or fed from the sound system — and turn on Broadcast Mode.

  2. 2

Put the link on the program

Print a QR code on the program or show it on a screen. Guests open it in any browser — no app, no signup — and pick their language.

  3. 3

    Mingle in two-way mode

At the reception, open two-way mode to chat with new in-laws: Whisperr auto-detects both languages and translates both sides, on screen or out loud.

Built for bilingual weddings

Both families, one celebration

Vows, speeches, and toasts that every guest actually understands.

QR code on the program

Guests join by scanning a code — nothing to install, nothing to hand out or collect afterward.

Every language at once

Each guest picks their own language from the same broadcast, so one ceremony reaches both families and every guest in between.

Keeps up with the moment

Captions arrive in about 0.2 seconds — the laugh lands during the toast, not after it.

Speeches and toasts too

Keep the broadcast running through dinner so parents’ speeches and best-man toasts reach everyone.

Livestreamed weddings

Guests joining from abroad open the same link from home and follow the ceremony in their language.

Conversations, not just captions

Two-way mode translates real conversations between families at the reception — spoken aloud or on screen.

Say it once, and everyone understands

Make your ceremony one both families can follow — free to try.

Top-Notch Speech Recognition and Flashcard-Style Translations for Fast Study

“Whisperr's speech recognition and translation quality are both top-notch, and better than similar tools I've tried so far. As a Japanese learner, I especially like how Whisperr displays each sentence and its translation almost like flashcards, with a text-to-speech button for each one. Whisperr has removed a huge barrier to interacting with foreign-language speakers in real time, and to consuming video content that doesn't already have a translation.”

Awesome

“This is very useful, extremely user-friendly, easy to use, and the recognition capability is very precise, with very fast speed. It should be the most accurate and fastest translation I've used so far.”

Worth hundreds of thousands of yen

“The same performance as other conversation translation apps. Those charge by the minute, but this one is apparently a one-time purchase, so the value for money is outstanding. Compared with about five similar apps, this one is the best on both performance and price. I wonder whether it was made by a Japanese developer??”

Wedding translation FAQ

How do I translate a wedding ceremony live?+
Run Whisperr on a device that hears the officiant — placed near the front or fed from the sound system — and turn on Broadcast Mode. Put the room link or a QR code on the program; each guest opens it in a browser and reads the ceremony live in their own language.
Do guests need to install an app?+
No. Guests open the link in any mobile browser and pick their language — nothing to install, no account to create. Only the person broadcasting needs a Whisperr account.
Can guests follow in several languages at the same time?+
Yes. Every guest picks their own language from the same broadcast, so one ceremony can run in Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and more simultaneously — adding a language costs nothing.
What about the speeches and toasts at the reception?+
Keep the same broadcast running. Move the capturing device near the microphone (or keep the sound-desk feed), and guests follow the speeches on the same link they used for the ceremony.
How do our families actually talk to each other?+
Two-way mode. Open it during the reception, set it between you and your conversation partner, and Whisperr auto-detects both languages and translates both sides live — on screen or with spoken output.
Does it work for guests joining by livestream?+
Yes. Share the same room link with remote guests — they follow the ceremony in their own language from anywhere.
Should we still hire an interpreter?+
For the legal formalities, some couples still want a human interpreter, and that’s a fine choice. Whisperr covers everything an interpreter can’t scale to: every guest, every language, all evening — and it’s there in your pocket when the families mingle.
How much does wedding translation cost?+
You can start for free. Unlimited real-time use is available on a low flat annual plan, with no per-minute metering and no per-language caps — one plan covers the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, and the reception.
