How to translate a Microsoft Teams meeting
Four ways to capture and translate your Teams audio — pick the one that fits your setup, in order of audio quality.

System audio (Mac or Windows — best setup)
Join the Teams call however you normally do — the native app or a browser — and let the Whisperr desktop app capture your computer’s System audio. Clean digital audio, no background noise, and it works with the native Teams app, not only a browser tab. Want to share your own translated speech too? Turn on Broadcast Mode and paste the room link into the Teams chat — colleagues read it live in their own language, no Microsoft 365 add-on or extra license needed.

Tab capture (Chrome Extension or Web App)
On a computer where you can’t install the desktop app, join the meeting in Teams for the web (a Chrome tab) and use the Whisperr Chrome Extension or Web App to capture that tab’s audio directly.

Microphone (works on any device)
On iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, or the Web App, you can also just let Whisperr listen through your device’s microphone — put the meeting on speaker and turn Echo Cancellation off in Settings. No extra hardware, and handy when the desktop app or tab capture isn’t an option, though background noise can reduce accuracy.

Meeting Bot (translate everyone, any device)
Invite the Whisperr meeting bot into the call. It joins as a participant and delivers real-time transcription and translation for every speaker, across the whole meeting. Available on iOS, Mac, Windows, and the Web App — not yet on Android, and not through the Chrome Extension.
