Grant the overlay permission once. The captions become a movable bubble that sits above whatever app is in front.

Whisperr vs YouTube auto-translated captions
YouTube can auto-translate captions on some videos — but live streams are a different story.
If YouTube auto-translate is greyed out or not working on a live stream, it is usually because the stream has no live captions to translate: live auto-captions exist for only a few source languages and depend on the channel’s settings.
