Which one should you use?

Talking to someone in person

The iOS or Android app. It hears the other person through the microphone and can speak the translation aloud, so the phone sits between you and does the interpreting.

In-person translation

A video call or online meeting

The Mac or Windows app captures the call audio straight from your computer. If you would rather not install anything, the web app and the Meeting Bot both work.

Meeting translation

Watching a stream or a show

The Mac and Windows apps capture anything playing on your computer, and floating subtitles keep the translated captions on screen while you watch.

Entertainment translation

Presenting to a multilingual room

Any platform with Broadcast Mode. You speak once, share a room link, and each person in the audience reads along in their own language on their own device.

Broadcast Mode

Whichever you pick, it translates across 100+ languages โ€” see every supported language pair.

Platform questions

Which platforms does Whisperr support?
Whisperr runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS 18+), Android, macOS, Windows 10+, and in any modern browser via the web app. One account works across all of them.
Do I need to install anything to use Whisperr?
No. The web app runs in any modern browser with nothing to install, which also makes it the option that works on a locked-down work computer. The native apps add system audio capture and on-screen overlays that a browser cannot provide.
Does Whisperr work on Windows?
Yes. The Windows app supports Windows 10 and later and is a direct download. It captures system audio, so it translates whatever your PC is playing โ€” a meeting, a stream, or a recording โ€” as well as your microphone.
Is there a Whisperr app for iPhone and Android?
Yes, both are native apps. On Android, translated subtitles draw as a system overlay above any other app. On iPhone and iPad, they use Picture in Picture to stay on screen while you use other apps.
Can I use the same account on more than one device?
Yes. One unified login works everywhere โ€” sign in once and your account carries across the mobile apps, the desktop apps, and the web app.
Which platform is best for translating an in-person conversation?
Use the iOS or Android app. They capture the other person through the device microphone and can speak the translation aloud, so the phone acts as an interpreter between you without either of you switching apps.
Which platform is best for online meetings?
Use the Mac or Windows app if you want it to capture the call audio directly from your computer, or the Meeting Bot if you would rather have Whisperr join the call itself. The web app works too when you cannot install software.
