The transcript shows each side in its own writing system: simplified or traditional Chinese characters for Chinese, the Thai script, written without spaces between words for Thai. Chinese and Thai are tonal languages, where pitch changes a word’s meaning, so translation works on whole phrases rather than isolated words.
